There are job opportunities (Jobs for trained teachers) in Central schools in India. Notification issued for the posts PRT, TGT, PGT, Vice Principal, Principal, Music Teacher, Librarian and other posts. There are a total of 13,404 vacancies in all departments. Appointments will be made based on the talent shown in the test, demo, interview and skill tests as per the post!
Vacancies in Kendriya Vidyalayas in India are filled through a common examination conducted across the country.
These notification announcements are published every two to three years. Candidates for these jobs should be ready to perform duties from anywhere in the country. They can get attractive salaries. Demo and interview are mandatory for teacher posts depending on the level. The exam will be conducted online.
Primary teacher candidates can get more than Rs.55,000. If you are selected as a trained graduate teacher, you can get around Rs.75,000.
Those who join as a post graduate teacher can get a salary of around Rs.85,000. With some years of experience they can provide services in their own state in future.
Candidates who completed D.Ed and B.Ed in their states can try for these jobs. Qualification in CEET is mandatory for PRT and TGT posts. Ten questions related to Hindi language should be faced.
Kendriya Vidyalaya jobs - How to prepare for Exam
There are minor changes in the question paper as per notification for recruitment in Kendriya Vidyalayas. But the questions are the same. No previous creditable marks. One mark for each question.
As per the previous exams, the question papers are designed like this.
- PRT: Total 150 questions. It comes in two categories. Part-1 will have General English 10 and General Hindi 10 questions. In Part-2 there are 80 questions from Current Affairs, GK 10, Reasoning Ability 10, Teaching Methodology 20, Computer Literacy 10, subjects.
- TGT: General English 10, General Hindi 10, Current Affairs, GK 40, Reasoning Ability 40, Teaching Methodology 40, Computer Literacy 10. Total 150 questions.
- PGT: The question paper will be of 150 marks. General English 10, General Hindi 10, General Knowledge, Current Affairs 10, Reasoning Ability 10, Computer Literacy 10, Teaching Methodology 20, Related Subject 80 questions.
How to become Kendriya Vidyalaya Teacher?
- NCERT books should be read well for teaching posts. Proficiency in methodology and relevant subjects is a must for success in the exam.
- For primary teacher posts, mastery of all subjects up to class 10 is required. D.Ed two year methodology textbooks should be well read.
- For TGT posts, a solid grasp of relevant subjects up to degree level is mandatory. Also one should read the B.Ed textbooks well for the subject methodology.
- If for PGT, master the subject at PG level. Reading BEd textbooks for methodology is enough.
- English, Hindi, Current Affairs, GK, Reasoning etc. are common to all posts. These can be countered with common knowledge. Practicing sample questions can get more marks in these sections.
- Look at the old question papers.. Increase awareness about the level of questions and the format of the exam. Previous DSC, TET, CTET, TRT question papers are also useful in the study. Aspirants for PGT posts can get more marks if they practice JL, DL, UGC/CSIR NET old question papers in those subjects.
- Before the exam write as many mock tests as possible, analyze the results and improve your preparation to stay ahead of the competition.
